  Absentee Ballot Information
  1. To vote by absentee ballot You must be an eligible voter, AND you must reside at the legal residence you give on this application on Election Day.  It is a felony to make a false statement in an application for an absentee ballot, to apply for an absentee ballot more than once in an election with the intent to cast an illegal ballot, to show a ballot marked by a person to another person, or to violate an absentee ballot provision for the purpose of casting an illegal vote or to help anyone to cast an illegal vote.
  2. Be sure to check the appropriate box indicating why you cannot go to your polling place on Election Day; these are the only reasons that entitle you to vote by absentee ballot.
  3. Be sure to give your correct legal residence address as completely as possible, since this is used to verify your precinct number.
  4.  Be sure to sign the application.
  5. Return the completed application as soon as possible to the following address:

  Remember:
    - You must indicate whether you are requesting ballots for the primary or general election, or both.  (If nothing is checked, you will receive ballots for both elections.)
    - Do not submit more than one application for each election.
    - Your absentee ballots will be mailed or delivered to you as soon as they are available.

            Precincts meeting at this location: City of Austin - Three wards - each with 2 precincts.  Townships of Austin, Lansing, Udolpho, Red Roch, Waltham, Dexter and Sargeant - including
            their cities, Mapleview, Brownsdale, Dexter, Waltham and Sargeant.
  Also in Austin:  Those townships allocated to House District 27A - Lyle, Nevada, Windom, Adams, Marshall - Including their cities of Lyle, Rose Creek, Adams, and Elkton. These townships
            will be grouped together to discuss items that apply particularly to them.

  Mower County DFL Party to Hold Precinct Caucuses on February 7 at EL PARRAL BALLROOM
  District Democrats to Gather to Cast Presidential Preference Ballot, Select Convention Delegates, Debate Party Platform, Elect Precinct Chairs
   
  Democrats from around MOWER COUNTY will gather on Tuesday, February 7 for the DFL Party's biennial precinct caucuses.  The MOWER COUNTY DFL caucuses will be held at
  EL PARRAL BALLROOM (former Terp Ballroom)
   
  At the precinct caucuses, DFLers will cast a Presidential Preference Ballot that will demonstrate their preference in the upcoming election.  Attendees will have the opportunity to run and
  vote for delegates supporting specific candidates or issues to represent the precinct at the upcoming district convention on MARCH 25, 2012.  There will also be an opportunity to introduce
  and debate resolutions for possible inclusion in the Minnesota DFL Party's platform, and elect precinct chairs for the next two years.
   
  The caucuses will begin at 7:00 p.m.  Preference balloting will conclude at 8:00 p.m. sharp.  Ballots may only be cast in person; no absentee balloting is allowed.
   
  Anyone who will be eligible to vote in Minnesota by November 6, 2012 may vote in the preference ballot.
  Anyone age 16 or over may participate in caucus business.
