Inmate Programs

Inmate programs are facilitated by interagency and community volunteers. Program topics address criminal attitudes and behaviors that lead to incarceration, and challenge participants to accept responsibility for their behavior and to take deliberate steps toward change.

Activity-focused programs keep the inmates productively occupied. Examples are board games, computer lab (no internet) creative arts, educational videos, library services and an exercise gym.

Reformative programs provide inmates with knowledge and skills to address personal needs. Examples include educational classes, chemical dependency meetings, anger management, cognitive and behavioral skills, emotional literacy, and religious involvement.

Reintegration programs prepare inmates for their return to the community as productive citizens that include job skills, life skills, and parenting classes.
