Sealed proposals for construction of project as listed below will be received at Mower County Public Works (formerly Highway Department), 1105 8^th Avenue N.E., Austin, MN   55912, until 1:00 o’clock P.M., on April 22, 2013 at which time they will be opened publicly and read.

BRIDGE REMOVAL, BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION, AND APPROACH GRADING

S.A.P. 050-599-131; BRIDGE NO: 50K34; located on T-199 (600^th Avenue) 2.9 miles North of CSAH 46, in Section 23, Red Rock Township. The approximate major quantities of work are: 193 CY of Common Excavation, 210 tons of Aggregate Surfacing – Class 2, 72 LF of 12’ X 6’ Precast Concrete Box Culvert, 4 each of 12’ X 6’ Precast Concrete Box Culvert End Sections, 270 tons of Rip Rap – Class III, 500 LF of Silt Fence Type Machine Sliced, 500 SY of Erosion Blanket – Category 1, and removal of existing bridge.

S.A.P. 050-607-035; BRIDGE NO: 50K36; located on CSAH 7 (665^th Avenue) 0.4 miles South of TH 56; in the SE ¼ of Section 11, Adams Township. The approximate major quantities of work are: 3,243 CY of Common Excavation, 660 CY of Common Borrow (LV), 1,244 tons of Aggregate Base – Class 2, 320 tons of Aggregate Shouldering – Class 2, 1,600 SY of Bituminous Pavement Reclamation (full depth), 361 tons of Type SP 12.5 Wearing Course Mixture (3C), 260 tons of Type SP 12.5 Non Wearing Course Mixture (2B), 168 LF of 154” Span RC Pipe-Arch – Class III, 4 each of the 154” Span RC Pipe-Arch Aprons, 300 LF of Silt Fence Type Machine Sliced, 800 SY of Erosion Blanket – Category 1, and removal of existing bridge.

S.A.P. 050-611-010; BRIDGE NO: 50K37; located on CSAH 11 (140^th Street) 0.8 miles East of TH 56; in the NE1/4 of Section 14, Lodi Township. The approximate major quantities of work are: 1,107 CY of Common Excavation, 766 CY of Common Borrow (LV), 100 tons of Aggregate Base – Class 2, 170 tons of Aggregate Shouldering – Class 2, 1,222 SY of Bituminous Pavement Reclamation (full depth), 257 tons of Type SP 12.5 Wearing Course Mixture (3C), 186 tons of Type 12.5 Non Wearing Course Mixture (2B), 168 LF of 14’ X 9’ Precast Concrete Box Culvert, 6 each of the 12’ X 9’ Precast Concrete Box Culvert 15° Skewed End Sections, 462 tons of Random Rip Rap – Class III, 1,000 LF of Silt Fence Type Machine Sliced, and removal of existing bridge.

CONCRETE WALK, CURB AND GUTTER, WATERMAIN, SANITARY SEWER, STORM SEWER, BASE, AND BITUMINOUS SURFACING

S.A.P. 050-706-005; located on CSAH 106 in the City of Adams, Section 11, Adams Township. The approximate major quantities of work are: 39 LF of 12” RCP Storm Sewer Design 3006 – Class 4, 1 LS of Temporary Sewer & Water Service, 5 each of the 1” Curb Stop & Box, 2 each of the 5” X 7’-6’ Hydrant, 4 each of the 6” Gate Valve & Box, 180 LF of 1” K Copper or PE Water Service, 1,049 LF of 6” Water Main C-900 PVC SDR 18 W/ Tracer Wire, 6 each of the Construct Drainage Structure Design Special, 1 each of the Casting Assembly Storm Manhole, 6 each of the Casting Assembly Storm Catch Basin, 2,145 SF of 4” Concrete Walk, 506 LF of Concrete Curb & Gutter Design B624, 250 SY of Sodding Type Lawn, and 1 LS of Traffic Control.

As a proposal guaranty, each proposal must be accompanied by a bidder’s bond or certified check in the amount of at least 5% of the total amount of the proposal, made payable to the Treasurer of Mower County, Minnesota.

The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive defects therein and to award to other than the lowest bidder if it is in the best interest of the County.
