Child & Teen Checkups Outreach
The goal of this program is to improve the health of eligible children and reduce the negative impact of health problems by advocating regular and comprehensive well child check-ups.

Child Passenger Safety Seat Program
Public Health Nurses certified by the National Highway Traffic Safety Association provide education and training with return demonstration, to properly install car seats. See calendar of events for schedule of clinics.

Early Hearing Detection & Intervention
Public Health Nurses work with the Minnesota Department of Health to follow up with families whose children need further testing for hearing.

Postpartum home visit to offer to all mothers and their newborns to provide health education, screening, resource and referral.
Health Families America
An evidenced-based home visiting program started prenatally or in the first 3 months postpartum to enhance bonding, support the family in accessing resources, and promote health growth and development of the child.

School Health
Mower County Public Health offers comprehensive school health services to select schools in Mower County.
Women, Infants, & Children (WIC)
Supplemental food program for eligible pregnant, breastfeeding women; infants and children under age 5 with strong nutritional and educational component.
