On August 9, 2016, with resolution 44-16, the Mower County Board imposed a 1/2% transit sales tax, pursuant to Minnesota Statute 297A.99, to help fund road, bridge, and transportation related projects within the county. This transit sales tax will be used for projects identified in the 2017-2026 Highway Capital Improvement Plan.
