Overview:
This Board meets after the second Friday in June and is comprised of the County Board as well as the County Auditor.
The purpose of the County Board of Appeal and Equalization is to provide a fair and objective forum for property owners to appeal their valuation or classification. The Board of Appeal and Equalization has the authority to change the valuation or classification of a property for the current assessment year. The Board must make informed decisions and ensure all taxpayers are treated fairly and uniformly.
