A: Due to the nature of our work, our caseloads change often, meaning your Eligibility Worker could change at any given moment. Please contact our front desk at 507-437-9701 or dhsrecep@co.mower.mn.us to be directed to the appropriate worker.
Q: I've lost my EBT card. How can I get a replacement?
A: Replacement EBT cards cannot be issued in our office. You will need to contact EBT Edge directly at 888-997-2227 to request a replacement. You will also use this number to report a stolen EBT card.
Q: How long does it take to process my application?
A: That depends on the program that you are applying for.
- SNAP, Cash assistance and Childcare assistance all have 30 day processing timelines.
- Healthcare programs have 15-60 day processing timelines that depend on the basis of eligibility.
Q: I received a notice that I had a phone interview scheduled that has already passed. What do I do?
A: The name and phone number for the worker who scheduled the appointment will be listed on the notice. Call them and ask to reschedule.
Q: I received a lot of notices and I am unsure what they mean.
A: If you cannot locate a name and phone number on the notice, call the front desk at 507-437-9701 and ask for your current eligibility worker.
Q: What do I do if I suspect someone of public assistance fraud?
A: You can contact the Minnesota Fraud Reporting tipline at 800-627-9977 or using this online form.
Q: Why didn't I receive my benefits?
A: There are a variety of reasons that you may not have received your benefits, such as a missed renewal, missing information, or no longer eligible. To best answer this question, please contact our agency and ask to speak to your eligible worker.
