Auctioneer’s License

Minnesota Resident  

Complete all of the following:

  1. Application for Auctioneer’s License (PDF)
  2. License Applicant Information (PDF)
  3. Certificate of Compliance - Minnesota Workers’ Compensation (PDF)
  4. Original Surety Bond of not less than $1,000 and not more than $3,000 designating Mower County on the line that reads “bound onto Mower County” for a period of one year
    • Annual license issued will be for the same dates as the bond
  5. $20 application fee (cash, check or money-order made payable to Mower County)

Non-Resident / Out-of-State

Complete all of the following:

  1. Application for Auctioneer’s License (PDF)
  2. Notarized Non-Resident Irrevocable Consent (PDF)
  3. Certified copy of the applicant’s current auctioneer’s license from home state, if one is issued by the resident state.
  4. A certified copy of the state auction laws or statute such as exists in the resident state to establish reciprocity.
    • If none exist, include a letter from the county attorney stating that the state does not have any auctioneer laws.
  5. License Applicant Information (PDF)
  6. Certificate of Compliance - Minnesota Workers’ Compensation (PDF)

Liquor & Tobacco License

Contact the Mower County Auditor Treasurer at 507-437-9535 to apply or renew.

For Liquor Licenses, if your business resides within city limits, please contact your city clerk for licensing information.

Precious Metal Dealer License

This license is for those who deal with the sale or commercial use of secondhand platinum, gold, or silver. Including pawn shops coin dealers, and some jewelry stores.
