The Mower County Attorney's Office is the chief prosecutor's office for Mower County. 

Prosecution

The Mower County Attorney's Office serves as the chief prosecutor for all felony, gross misdemeanors, and juvenile offenses committed within Mower County. The County Attorney's Office eagerly prosecutes all criminal and juvenile mattes within its authority in a manner that ensures due process and equal protections to the victim, the accused, and the community at large. 

Representation

Our office also serves as chief legal counsel for the Mower County Board of Commissioners, the various departments established and maintained by the Board of Commissioners, and to such committees of the Board as appropriate. The office represents the county before the courts of this state, the United States, and other jurisdictions where authorized. The office also appears on behalf of the county before such agencies, commissions, boards, and other organizations before who the county has business. 

Limitations of Authority to Provide Services 

We do not offer legal options to private individuals, nor do we provide opinions to private parties in civil matters. Among the areas that are considered private are landlord/tenant, boundary lines, private covenants, collection of judgments, writ of execution, wills, probate, conservatorships, orders for protection and dissolutions.
